THE GUNMEN
We woke up to the rising sun
Happy and glad to see it again
Joy filled us because of the rising sun
Second to non in beauty

Then our heart is saddened
In remembrance of yesterday
We all woke to the sounds of guns
And cries of little children

Those monsters in human form
They kill without a thinking
They derive joy in killing
They are happy to see bloodshed

At times i sit and wonder
When i look back to yesterday
But it is nothing but sorrow
Are they even human?

They made many homeless
They made many fatherless
They left us without mothers
They made us orphans
They made our mothers widows

I pray for my country
I stand by my country
I strive for my country
But the government dont care about us
They have forgotten us in their bid to embezzle
